Please note that there are a number of requirements that you must ensure that your dog meets before we are able to undertake any services. These are to ensure that we are fully compliant with the laws and regulations surrounding pets and animals, and that we are able to keep your pet safe. We require a full assessment of your pet to be taken prior to engaging in any services, which will be undertaken by us on a free-of-charge no-obligation basis. If you are unable to meet our requirements at the time of the assessment or in time for the start date of any scheduled services, we reserve the right to refuse service to you.

These requirements are:

• They must be microchipped (Please note that as per the Microchipping of Dogs Regulations 2015, failure to comply may be punishable by a fine of up to £500)

• They must have a collar and tag that they wear when they are being walked. The tag must at least display the owner’s name and address (including postcode). Displaying the owner’s phone number is optional but recommended. (Please note that as per the Control of Dogs Order 1992, failure to comply may be punishable by a fine of up to £500)

• They must be up to date with vaccinations. This includes vaccinations for:

• Distemper
• Parainfluenza
• Leptospirosis
• Hepatitis

(On these vaccination cards for the Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus it will appear under DHPP. Leptospirosis will be on the vaccination card as L2 or L4)

• They must be regularly wormed and have regularly received flea treatment.

Even if your dog is being walked solo (i.e not in a group of other dogs), we require that the dog’s vaccinations and worming need to be up to date. This is not a law but needs to be done to protect other dogs from catching any diseases from your dog, including other dogs of the members of the public. Also, it is required if the owner enquires about dog walking groups or more than one dog being walked that aren't from the same household, but please keep in mind that we will only partake in dog walking from different households if the dogs get on with one another and if they are all up to date with vaccinations, flea treatment and worming.
